Walk in Refrigeration
Walk-in coolers and freezers are large insulated enclosed space designed to store frozen food or other perishable food. Mostly used in the food service and industry.
Walk-in fridges are designed to work between 0°C to 13°C, the temperature is adjustable.
Walk-in freezers work below 0°C.
For both type of unit the temperature can be monitored and even managed online.
Walk in units consist of
- an insulated box made with 3″/4″/6″ thick foam panels
- a compressor (usually mounted outside the room)
- an evaporator fan coil (usually mounted on the room’s ceiling)
- a water- or air-cooled condensing coil
